about

Scotch Hollow’s, “Little Tortuga”, was written while living on a Martin’s family farm in rural Kansas. Totally isolated from civilization, they occasional came across a larger-than-life turtle, old as hell, weathered, and missing an eye. He was dubbed Little Tortuga. The songs were written on a back porch watching for deer, turkeys, rescuing kittens, and listening to coyotes. When it came to time to record, they kicked up the band with their friend Ben Scholz on drums and JD Linn on bass, realizing their full production potential with bass and drums, while keeping strong female vocals and steel guitar. The album will be supported by a tour in Spring/Summer 2017 through the midwest, southeast and northeast regions.

Their mutual love for the blues, traditional country and roots music brought them together to form the successful Scotch Hollow. ... more
